Just curious if anyone is planning to base their flights around a theme. I figure a nature flight with dragons having flower/plant names would be something neat  I am thinking about naming all my dragons after character from a video game series, just not sure which element to go with hehe Perhaps some of you will go even further and only have dragons with specific colors I was considering having a bunch of purple dragons myself since I love purple hehe |

hihi Im gonna be a nature flight, and you've guessed it right. All my dragons will be named after trees, plants, grasses, flowers, fruits and the like. I will also have a background story for the clan as a whole as a story for each individual dragon, which will be linked to the nature element. As for the colours; I am going to try and mostly find myself some orphaned eggs, so Im afraid I can't be too picky about the colours. But then flowers and fruits come in all possible colours, so it isn't that much of a problem in the end. I will be trying to give my dragons a name that fits their colours.

I'll be going for a couple of different themes. For those without skins, I'll be trying for heavy blues, blacks and whites. For naming, I'll probably pick fantasy-type names, like Ivalis, Xarne and Colja.
But I'll be focusing on two different kinds of skins, as well. First, I want to collect a good looking blue jay skin for each dragon breed and gender. And secondly, more in line with Lightning, I want to collect various glowing/bio-luminescent themed skins. If I ever get into roleplay, my bio-luminescent dragons will be the ones I use for it.

I'm going to be Lightning as well but my dragons are going to resemble stormclouds; basically I'll be aiming for dragons from White to Shadow plus some other faded colors. Check out the new color wheel they released to see what I mean. I also noticed a set of accents called the Stormcatcher's Gift, I think I'll be keeping an eye on them. I've also decided to include Wind because you can't have a good storm without some gusting going on! And there is totally going to be a group of four Wind dragons in my clan called "The Winds of Destruction" for anyone who gets the reference, and these will mostly be on the darker side and include reds. |

I guess mine will have a theme? My original dragon will be a crimson(or maroon)and white Tundra male named Cupid and the randomly generated female Tundra will get the cloudscape skin and be named Psyche. The rest of the clan will be sort of Valentine colored with reds, whites, pinks, and pastels.

I have been slowly warming up to the idea of a clan story and theme- with Arcane, mine is going to be weighted heavily towards the curiosity/visionary, with mage arts and seekers of knowledge and power. Each dragon is going to have a unique name and character, personality, and set of actions or acquired bits of history. I'd like it to be a foundation for creativity and storytelling, rather than the sap on my creativity that I felt when I roleplayed Pern ages ago.
I'd also like to have several dedicated battle teams with different elements and breeds, and battle history for each one.

I do have a clan story... which doesn't lend itself to any particular theme. In fact, since every dragon in my clan will a different task to fulfill in the service of their cause (the creation, maintenance, and interpretation of a fortune-telling clock––kind of odd for a Lightning flight, maybe, but trust me, it makes sense), diversity is probably going to be the rule. I love blue/green dragons, though, so I'm going to try to collect for those. Oh, and the shimmer gene––I definitely want that sooner rather than later.

I'm going to be a Wind flight, all my dragons will have asian/oriental names (Mostly chinese or japanese) and fitting color schemes ^^

Unless they've changed it from Beta, your randomly generated dragon WILL be the opposite gender of the SAME starter species. |

Hmmm I'd gotten the impression it could be any of the four starter breeds. Mind you that was from one of the first youtube videos they'd posted.

Funny thing is I never watched any of those videos....
But yes. In Beta you chose the colors, gender, and breed for your dragon and then they gave you one of the opposite gender of the same breed with randomly generated colors. If you'll look at the three newer accounts on FR (testing I assume), you'll see it's the same except that Verad used a breed-change scroll to make their original a Snapper.
