Welcome to Etheria
Info & Rules
All info must be read before posting. No God Modding. Powers acceptable within limitations. All creatures/species accepted. Back stories are welcome, feel free to be creative, but do not shape Etheira's world or lore without consent. No one-liners please, give some depth to your writing. No controlling/killing other people's characters without consent. Multiple characters allowed but within reason. Pictures/reference welcome but you MUST link back to the original artists! No random google images allowed. RP moderator: Sky I'm happy to let people have a lot of free movement and creative reign with their characters here but the lore and the existence of the other Safehold's will be shaped over time collaboratively. "Rumors' of things like existing Safehold's are allowed and are a good way to bring up things that are not set in stone without breaking any rules There are many villages protected by small barriers within Etheria, Safeholds are unique in their size and splendor and abundance of life, though Safeholds are not to be created without my consent any villages and other background area's are welcome, just be aware that they are within a very desolate land. I want us to slowly shape Etheira together so the back story rule is really only there to stop people singly having creative reign over large parts of the word and/or its lore. My two fursona/OC's Sky and Sezukimi will only be used in RP on the very rare occasion for storyline purposes. Any questions just ask ^^ Back Story:Etheria, A wold once beautiful but now nothing but a broken waste land. A great calamity came upon Etheria when the elemental lay lines of the world were tapped into by a great dark sorcerer and tainted with a destructive energy that corrupted the world around it. The taint killed all plant life and caused rivers and lakes to become stagnant and infected. The great green lands turned brown and grey with rot. Some areas of beauty however were saved, great barriers were placed around the lands and the elemental flows were disconnected from those outside the barriers and redirected to flow only within the confines where they were protected. Each of these protected areas are called Safeholds and each safe hold is constructed around one large elemental lay-line a place where elemental energies converge and expand. Farshore is one of the Safeholds of western Etheria. Its a remote island nestled within a natural harbor, surrounded by large spires of rock that become the Ridgback Mountains that skirt the entire length of Etheria's western coastline. Farshore is one of the smallest and most remote Safeholds but is rich in resources. Fresh water springs rise within the lower slops of the mountains and run beneath the great sloping rocks. The forests are abundant with useable woods, fruits, animals and other forageable foods and resources. The western slops that run beneath the great stone ark down to the lone spire are used to farm many grasses and crop. Many eons ago, before the great calamity the tops of the mountain were carved into great structure. No one knows who's hands they were carved by as the island was discovered abandoned despite its preserved lands and the intact barriers around it. It is rumored that one great sorcerer used the last of his or her life to single-handedly save the island, now known as Farshore. [ - Image for reference only. Original art by: blinck.deviantart.com/art/Exile-322390418 - ] Fareshore is resided over by two elemental casters, one is named Sky a female silver furred anthropomorphic wolf and the other named Sezukimi a male black furred anthropomorphic wolf. They were the first to stumble upon the island and now they spend most of their time maintaining the elemental flows and looking after the barriers around the island. They play little part in the social aspects of Farshore and are rarely seen, spending most of their time in the lone spire where they reside. [ - My characters - fav.me/d5953bb - ]

(My character and all my art. His clothing is not torn as depicted here though XD) Kazeshini sat upon the crest of a large rock on the golden shores of Farshore. The midday sun beat down on his back giving him the sensation of rippling head across his skin. His black skin-tight shirt lay drying on the rock beside him and his long coat had been, for once, left in his room on one of the top tiers of the rocky construct that loomed behind him. His shoes, still dry lay upon the sand at the base of the rock. Kazeshini didn't much like Farshore's architecture but he did like the environment it was carved into. He had found his way here a few moons ago. He had never told anyone what had brought him to venture into the dead lands of Etheira let alone the ridgeback mountains but when he had come to this island he had very little life left in him. Had it not been for the silver wolf like creature he may have not made it to the shore... Kazeshini lent back to gaze skywards, the blue sky reminding him of the endless blue eyes of the silver wolf-kin, his savior. He had always considered a beast like that to be a werewolf but she was different, the black one too, Sky and Sezukimi they had no human form and yet he had sworn that he had seen Sky before but in the shape of a huge wolf stalking mountains he had crossed... Kaze had taken quite the interest in the two but they rarely ventured out from their tower. Still he smiled when he remember the silver fur and gentle hands that lift him from the water and the warmth that seemed to emanate from them, the moonlight catching those eyes and a voice so soft, the words long forgotten in his poor state. He tried often to recall them to no avail. Kazeshini spent most of his time alone, it suddenly dawned on him as he thought once more of the two guardians the he himself was completely antisocial, he was not sure if he had said more than two words to anyone. He sighed and let himself fall to his back, arms raised above his head and wings gently folded beneath him creating a nice bit of padding. "Paradise in a broken world...." he muttered to himself and let his eyes slowly close.

The hot sun beat down on the cool ocean waves, golden streaks of light filtering through the ripples and illuminating the crystalline blue abyss that lay before the pale man. A cool sea-side breeze rustled the plant life just beyond the sand, picking up small grains of the creamy substance and seeming to make it dance along the beach, a whimsical little display of nature's strength and the calm beauty that resided within the island, so drastically different to that which lay beyond. Amidst the tranquil surroundings, something beneath the water stirred. Dark and slimy it appeared to be a large deep green blob, owning many outstretched spindly limbs, looking something akin to a mutated hybrid of jellyfish and octopus. Slowly it edged closer towards the soft, sandy banks, towards the very man who lay upon them, basking in the sun's life giving rays. Without warning it burst above the water's surface, breaking free with a gargled gasp and mutter of low groans and soft growls, it's body flailing and limbs wobbling as golden eyes seemed to pierce through the dark, slimy surface of it's skin, glaring at everything around it as it began to shake violently.
The violent shakes loosened what had at first appeared to be slimy flesh, large chunks of it seeming to fracture away from the body before sliding loose and falling to the ground. Shake by shake, chunk by chunk, the 'skin' slid loose, revealing soft tanned olive flesh beneath. Within seconds a curvaceous, feminine form was revealed, white wings with golden flecks and silver tips shaking loose what remained as chocolate brown, wavy hair clung to the young woman's flesh hungrily, feline ears of matching colour and creamy tips flipped back in annoyance. Through the surface of the water the swishing of a deep brown tail with creamy tips could be seen, showing the young woman's annoyance as she began to pick at and fling off the last of the kelp, hissing at it as she went. And all the while, she remained completely nude, and seemingly oblivious to the man upon the beach. Well, at least that was until she turned to try and pick at one of the final pieces. In that instant she saw him, and a debate could be held as to what happened faster; her face reddening to the shade of a tomato, or the young woman frantically glancing around before diving behind a rock, pressing her back flush to it as she attempted to hide from him.
"D-don't get any funny ideas!" her voice mewled out, far higher in pitch than she would have preferred, "I'll kill you! I swear to god! D-don't you dare!" Turning around she slowly peeked her head over the grey stone, peering out over it and at the strange coloured man upon the beach, her eyes glowing and flickering between bright gold and a stunning blue, as blue as the sky above and the ocean before him. Running her eyes up and down his body, she seemed to size him up in silence before finally speaking once more. "...You... you didn't... look... did you... ?"

*Kazeshini had drifted slowly in and out of sleep as the hours had passed. The cool fresh air and the thrum of waves rolling upon the shore lulled his mind and senses, setting him into a relaxed ease he had never truly felt before. There were few people here and fewer still who would come anywhere near him and so he let himself drift between the pleasant sensations of reality and dream...
...
Red and black ears twitched, his brows furrowed slightly and nose wrinkled as he stirred. Something disturbed the surface of the water causing a sound other than the waves themselves. 'Just a fish' the thought wafted through his dreamy mind. Again another stirring of water, just audible between the lull of the waves. Kaze's ears twitched again and lolling his head to the side in a lazy cat-like fashion he let one eye partially open, his slitted pupil widening as the sunlight set the gold iris sparkling... Just the blue of the sea and sky... His one opened eye began to once again slowly close when there came a tremendous splash of water. In all honesty, it was the awful sounds that accompanied it that shocked Kaze so much, gurgles and growls and, in the corner of his eye, he saw what looked like massive tentacles rising from the surf. Kaze yelped, his body involuntarily flinching of its own accord that succeeded in doing nothing but flinging him backwards off the rock. With a grunt Kaze landed in the soft sand... neck and shoulders first before his body swayed to the right and collapsed beside him. Instantly Kaze was stood upright, his back pressed firmly against the rock he was now concealed behind and there he stood, crouched slightly, catching his breath and letting his nerves settle. A million different possibilities and images rolled though his mind of terrible sea creatures tainted with dark energies and an even darker intent... but no beast cast a shadow over his hiding place and, for the most part, the dreadful noises had stopped. Only odd wet sounds of something hitting the sand could be herd, they certainly weren't footsteps. Kaze's eyes narrowed and his usual, calm and calculated strength of mind returned. His lean form pressed against the rock emphasizing the rise and fall of his chest as his breathing began to slow. His ears flickered back, his tail gave one lash and he turned his head towards the top of the bolder, lips drawing back slightly and revealing two sharp fangs in a expression riddled with annoyance at both the disturbance of his rest, appearance of this threat and the fact that he had fallen in fright from the rock. 'This is why I don't let my guard down' he scolded himself internally.
Kaze turned, keeping his body close to the rock, his eyes falling from the submit of the rock to the far left of it where he began to pace. It was time he took a good look at this enemy, he would assess the situation from there. Claws scraped lightly against the stone and bright dangerous eyes gleamed from beneath the red tipped strands of silver hair. He was not afraid, he was more than capable of handling himself as he had proven to himself time and time over, no need for stealth, if the beast was dangerous and riddled with the taint it would have been on him the moment he fell from the rock... It was time.
Kaze growled deeply and softly the sound resonating from within his chest and with a jolt of muscle and agility he leaped from behind the rock into view of the threat. Eyes wild, fang bared, the hair on his neck and head alike on end in a pose that was intimidating and yet beneficial for both attack and retreat. His feline like eyes scanned for the beast and found them instantly on.... a naked female. ... Kaze's dangerous glare softened slightly into a look of questioning bewilderment. His postured relaxed slightly as he turned his head ever so slightly to the side as if trying the figure out what it was he was looking at and if it made any more sense from a slightly different angle... Nope, there was no denying it, he was staring at a female with brown hair, white wings, a tail, ears and entirely naked.... Kazes face dropped as the situation slowly dawned on him and before he could do anything the female turned to look his way.
Kaze's breath caught in his throat with an audible choke and he froze on the spot. The females face went such a bright red and even his flushed and they both flung themselves behind their respective rocks, her a little sooner than he.
"D-don't get any funny ideas!" her voice mewled out in a high pitched wail. "I'll kill you! I swear to god! D-don't you dare!"
"What the hell?!" He shouted back over the rock, his mind reeling once again. "I thought you were a damned sea monster!" he added, spotting his shirt and shoes in the open. Kaze smacked a hand to his face and moaned, 'how embarrassing' he thought 'and she thinks I'm the questionable one here'. "Just... stay there..." he called as he walked from behind his hiding place to retrieve his now dry shirt and sandy shoes. Kaze's feathers ruffled and tail lashed as he lent down to retrieve his belongings. From the other rock he saw the female pop her head out from behind the rock.
"...You... you didn't... look... did you... ?" she called after him. "You didn't give me much of a choice." he called back, his voice retuning once again to that calm and calculated tone... it was a rare thing to see the male caught of guard, this woman's first impression would no doubt be a misconceived and terrible one on many accounts.
Kaze glanced at her with bright golden eyes, picked up a stone, wrapped his shirt around it and called out "catch" before throwing it her way. The stone and its weight carried the cloth sailing cleanly through the air her way. He only guessed he was a fair bit taller than her, it would cover.... most of her.... at a stretch....

Suspicious, narrow golden eyes regarded the strangely coloured and shaped male-thing as he moved around, telling her to stay where she was and informing her that she hadn't left him much of a choice. Shaking her head she growled a little, rolling her eyes at him as the water behind her stirred uneasily. It was as though the stupid 'male-thing' believed that had answered her question, when it could be taken as that she hadn't given him a choice but to look, or she hadn't left him a choice since she dove behind the rock too fast. Before she had a chance to open her mouth and inform him of any of those wonderful facts, though, she found him telling her to "Catch." seconds before a material covered rock came sailing at her, or more specifically, her face. Reacting with a small squeal her hands flew up to catch the rock, her feline senses easily allowing her to catch it before it stood any chance at colliding into her button nose and cause immense pain. However, as certain as her hands flew up, some of the water behind her did as well, soaring through the air in mirrored streams before colliding with one another and exploding out into a misty rain above her head just as she caught the rock, leaving her, and the shirt, once again drenched. Blinking a little she paused before scowling at the misty water in the air, her ears falling flat as she seemed to attempt to glare it into non-existence, but alas, it did not work.
Giving up Rin gave a soft sigh as her eyes fell to the cloth covered rock in her hands. He'd really just gone and thrown a rock at her. A cloth covered rock. A now wet, clothe covered rock. She continued to stare at it for a moment in baffled silence before tilting her head to the side, one ear perked high, the other flopped to the side as she continued to stare. Perhaps this 'male-thing' is just nuts, she wondered to herself, another suspicious glare shifting back up to his form before she went back to regarding the rock. Unravelling the cloth from the rock she held it up and out in front of her, taking note that it appeared to be a shirt; his shirt to be more precise. The shirt could be poisoned, it could all be some dastardly trap meant to distract her while he killed her while her guard was down... or perhaps he wanted her covered up just as badly as she wanted to be covered up. Taking all of two seconds she promptly decided she did not give a rat's behind about the matter and slipped the shirt over her head, pulling it down as far as it could go before standing up. Hey, if she was going to die, at least she wasn't going to die naked. Now standing upright and still and not covered in kelp her full height of a whole five feet was visible, and the now wet cloth that clung to her already wet skin left near to nothing to the imagination when it came to her petite yet curvy figure. Looking down at herself she continued to attempt to tug the shirt down as best she could, finding that the wetness, her tail and her plump little rump did not allow it to go down as far as she would have liked, leaving it sitting at a 'pleasant' height of mid-thigh at the front, and just under her rump at the back. Giving up on that, too, she turned to look at the 'male-thing' once more, one eyebrow cocked suspiciously at him as tendrils of water began to swirl about herself defensively, swirling and moving, poised to strike, though only seeming to swirl about her in a protective motion.
For a moment, it seemed as though she would attack, her pupils dilating into thin, feline slits as she eyed the man, her stance poised and ready to pounce. Without warning, however, she suddenly dropped the water and cocked her head to the side, staring at him fully now as her eyes raked over him once more. "What in the seven hells are you...?" she finally got out, her voice a husky, exotic purr as her eyes calmed to a gentler, tranquil chocolate brown, the water sinking back to the ground and disappearing with the next lap of waves at the shoreline, "And... thanks... for the shirt... and for not attacking me. And sorry, I guess... for scaring you, or whatever... but seriously, when was the last time you saw a pair of breasts? Most people don't mistake naked chicks for 'seamonsters'... and now I know I look weird cause of the ears and tail, but you're certainly not one to talk, Red." Swaying one hip to the side she cocked it and places a hand upon it, staring at him, her tail swishing low to the ground as she seemed to wait for an answer before sighing once more. ".. I didn't know there were others beyond the wolves on this island. Guess I'm not alone after all, huh?" Finally she moved forwards, that sultry feline swagger seeping into every delicate little foot step and sway of her hips and tail, a purr rumbling through her chest as she drew closer, her eyes dimming to a more neutral, curious expression as she continued to eye him off. Once within a few feet of him she began to pace around him, though she left her hands low and held close to her thighs as one, a means of helping to keep the shirt down, and two, to show him she was making no motion to attack him, simply investigating the strange new thing she'd found upon the shore. "Seriously, you've no right to call me a seamonster, Red. Not with everything you've got going on." Coming to a stop she stood before him, before dipping into a low bow, straightening, and holding her hand out, a smile now upon her face. "The name's Rinai, Rinai Tsukihana, but hey, if you wanna call me Sea Monster, or Sea Hag, I think I can rock that too. Oh, and yeah, sorry about the shirt and the water explosion thing.." Withdrawing her hand before he had a chance to shake it she used it to rub at the back of her head, glancing off to the side and away from him as her cheeks flushed to a subtle shade of pink, her ears twitching back as she chewed at her lip a little as her free hand played with the hem of the shirt. "I'm... still learning how to control my powers. But hey, at least it's just some salty water and not like, mud or fire or something, right?"

[OOC - updated Image - also his name is pronounced kar-zeh-shi-neih] Kaze watched in silence whilst the female regarded both him and his now rather wet shirt with a suspicious golden glare. What did she think it would do? eat her? She was an odd one indeed. Defensive too and untrusting.... Finally she donned the shirt and at that Kaze relaxed slightly motioning to turn towards his sand-strew shoes but as he did however he noticed the water behind the female move unnaturally and begin to take shape around her. Kaze returned to his previous stance and watched her silently, old long lost words forming on his tongue ready to protect himself if need be, but still his posture remained relaxed. Her poise was all attack and that water was looking like it might be the weapon of choice. Suddenly the water made a quick movement and Kaze sucked a lung full of air ready to cast his ancient words.... but nothing happened, the water simply fell to the ground and the female suddenly lost all attack in her poise, replacing it was what looked like an curious interest in him.... 'This female is as unpredictable as the sea she emerged from' He though considering her more of the sea monster he had first regarded her as... an interesting thought.... "What in the seven hells are you...?" she asked with a very feminine, husky purr as her eyes changed to a more natural but rich brown. 'About as odd as you are' he thought to himself. Her eyes, the way they changed, her wings tail and ears... she was not too different from him.... god knew he might even have parts of what ever species she was in him, would explain a few things... Still, the question struck him and rang with nostalgia, how many times had he been asked this before? Though he had to admit, she had a wonderfully blunt way of asking. She apologized and thanked him, conveniently at the same time as insulting him... She talked an awful lot it seemed, he was usually quiet but she had given him little room to open his moth regardless, still, it suited him just fine. 'Red' The corner of his lip twitched at that, mild amusement tugging at what once could have been a smile. The female continued on, she spoke of the wolves causing the slightest of twitches in Kaze's ears and how she had met no one else so far on the island... it was indeed very quiet here, it seemed he was not alone just because of his antisocial tenancies... and at that she began to stalk towards him. Now he truly got to regard her form, slender with such feline grace, even to him it was quite an image to behold, his shirt clinging to her curvy form and tousling around her upper thighs, it looked better on her than it ever would him... such thoughts spiked something deep within Kaze and for the briefest of moments his pupils widened slightly, the cat like slits expanding into the gold of his eyes but it stopped as suddenly as it started and Kaze pushed all 'distracting' thoughts from his head... quickly. His lips that had slightly parted to reveal long fangs closed firmly and he turned his head to watch her as she began to pace around him. "Seriously, you've no right to call me a sea monster, Red. Not with everything you've got going on." Another pang, a soundless growl rumbled silently in his chest and his ears dropped back slightly, cat like eyes sharpening back on her as she finally stopped before him and yet his expression hardly changed. She introduced herself as Rinai which was very interesting as the word for cat in his ancient tongue was Rintai, who ever had named her had named her well indeed. And so the female carried on and he listened impassively, even the part about the names he might call her didn't cause much more than a flick of his tail and all the while his bright golden eyes never left her smooth brown ones... unless she turned away though they slipped little further than the profile of her face. He was a master at self control indeed, hell he needed to be other wise the old him would have pressed a finger against her lips wordlessly only to bring himself close, brush his lips against her perfect skin about her shoulders, taking in her scent and trailing ever so slowly towards her exposed neck as his hands wound into hers..... again the pang and this time a shudder crept its way down his spine, eyes fluctuated once again but once again the thoughts were shoved aside and his self control reigned true... She'd have probably have resisted all his vampiric charm and kneed him between the legs any way, she seemed the type.. this thought really did tweak his lips slightly into a grin just as she had finished speaking, her gaze turning away and her cheeks reddening. It made her all the more beautiful and the way she played with the hem of his shirt. Kaze turned his eyes skywards, the slight grin still on his lips. It was a good thing he could drift away within his own thoughts and yet listen at the same time... a skill few males had. "Power takes time to master..." He lowered his golden gaze to hers "The name is Kazeshini, as for what I am..." his grin faded "I am many things... for now we can leave it at that. I am however not a threat, unless provoked. If I may call you Rin, you may call me Kaze" he dipped his head slightly at that showing respect. Had she not been a completely unpredictable being he might have let some of that charm of his shine through by catching her hand lightly and taking up her previous greeting. instead he thought it wise not to touch her at all lest he gain some claw marks. Kaze cocked his head slightly regarding her "And you yourself seem interesting, I'm just as curious to know what you are" he spoke, his voice soft and alluring a trait of his vampiric nature "and what you know about them" he added, his head gesturing towards the lone spire of rock behind them where the wolven creatures known as Sky and Sezukimi resided. For all of Kazeshini's cold, emotionless traits that was the demon in him this females tugged at his vampiric side bringing out hints of subtle charm and interest, she was indeed very interesting but also dangerous with the potential to change him for better or for worse....

If she hadn't of been looking away in embarrassment, the young feline would have caught sight of his grin, and once more been suspicious of his motives. However, thankfully for the both of them her eyes only returned to him as is soft voice met her ears, reassuring her that power took time to master. As her deep brown eyes met his own golden ones, for just a fleeting moment they seemed to hold an innocence and a deep curiosity, a tinge of trust. As quick as it had appeared, however, it was gone as she once more regarded him with suspicion. The moment he dipped his head she smiled softly, a calmer, gentler appearance washing over her features as she practically glowed, a soft, thankful purr bubbling forth from her lips as she dipped her head in return. "Me?" she chirped out, her eyes widening a little and that gold flickering back to life a smidge, though she quickly quelled it, looking down at her feet for a moment before looking back at her own wings, "Uh... Well... I... I'm.... a... cat.... bird... water... demon...ess. Clearly. Yup. Guess that kinda does make me a sea monster, though, huh..." Laughing awkwardly she shook her head and rubbed the back of her head again, one ear perked and the other cocked to the side. "Look, I don't really know what I am. I usually just get 'demon' screamed at me, or 'witch'.... or 'mutt' by pretty much any other demon that sees me. But... I guess I really don't have to worry about you doing that, huh." Cocking her own head to the side she stared up at him for a moment, her neck exposed through the wet mass of hair that clung to her olive flesh.
Shifting around she took a step away from him and once more tugged at his shirt, before pulling at her hair as she fought to pull it off of her skin. Another sigh she allowed her eyes to flutter shut, her palms glowing a faint, icy blue before the water on her and the shirt rose to the air, before simply evaporating. Opening her eyes for just a second the faint shimmer of glowing blue was visible before it quickly faded to gold, then back to brown. Grinning, she bounced on the spot a little, her hair cascading down in soft, chocolate waves as his shirt bounced along her curves now that it no longer clung to her flesh. "Ah~ Much better. Heh. I love swimming, but I hate being wet outside of the water~" Her voice was a soft, pleasant purr, more or less talking to herself as she gave a small nod. Now, without the heavy scent of ocean water clinging to her a warm, spicy and floral exotic musk wafted from her now, and now she leaned in closer to him, sniffing the air around him. Leaning away her face wrinkled a little in confusion as she stared at him. "You... certainly are a mix, aren't you?" Giving another shrug she turned on her heel, holding her hands together behind her back, just beneath her perky little rump that was now almost peeking out beneath his shirt. Pacing off and away from him a little, her arms soon fell to her sides as she continued to fuss with the shirt, finding it weird. As she fussed, the feline sway of her ample hips was enhanced by the swish of her tail and bounce of her hair. Nearing the edge of the beach and heading back for the forest she looked over her shoulder at him. "Well I'm assuming if you want your shirt back, you're going to come along so I can go and get my own clothes, right? I don't really have any information to offer about the wolves, just that I've seen them around, and they have a pleasant.. yet very... odd aura. I can, however, offer a little company before we part ways.I know it can get awful lonely on this island. I've been here for months, haven't seen a soul... " Flashing him a playful, near devious little grin a fiery little spark blazing through her eyes. "If you're curious about me, perhaps you can figure me out. Lords know others have tried. Maybe you'll stand a beter chance." Laughing, her grinned softened as she shrugged a little. "Or maybe I'm just something that can't be worked out, but you mentioned power taking time. I've never had anyone to teach me. I lost both my parents before I could learn anything. It's why I'm so off. Maybe you could help me figure out my powers, and I could help you figure me out. Or you can just stand there being all pale and red and creepy and alone on some random beach. Your choice~"
With that, she bounced into the forest, pacing around the trees and running her hands against some, her tail or wings stretching out to brush against others. Clearly, feline instincts held heavy sway over the young woman, though as she continued through the forest she began to purr, before humming, and soon she was singing a what appeared to be an almost 'pop' song in an ancient tongue, continuing to dance through the forest, her hips swaying as she bobbed her head. All in all, she didn't seem to fuss too much if he was following her, or what he thought of her and her acts. Her voice retained it's husky allure as she sang, the whole forest seeming to sigh and sway along with her. Soon enough she wound up with a little butterfly fluttering around her, and her seeming to serenade the little fluttering insect, following it up and into the trees, where she continued to move with as much poise and grace as she had on the ground, seeming to flow like a stream through the forest. And then, without warning, she disappeared, her voice echoing eerily before fading. It was followed quickly, however, by her dropping down and hanging upside down and off of a branch behind where she figured Kaze would be. "Hey, Red~ You can have your shirt back~" One arm thrust out, her hand gripping the black shirt as soft white cloth held together by intricate gold pieces of metal and what appeared to be pearls and diamonds. The soft golden glow of her skin, her deep brown eyes and white wings gave her an almost angelic appearance.. if only she weren't hanging upside down in one of the most undignified manners imaginable, the only things stopping the long pieces of draped, white material from toppling down and flashing her lower half at the man being her tail and hand.

"To think I would have met someone in this world as complex as I am' He thought whilst wandering through the forest, his eyes following her feline form as it weaved between the tall columns of wood, the dappled light falling through the canopy and painting her flawless skin in patches of subtle green shadow and bright golden light.
'Cat in place of wolf, though my eyes could portray a feline aspect themselves, birds... would explain the wings I guess, water... Im more of darkness and cast with the ancient tongue though if I removed the pendant...' Kaze's hand rose to the black stone that hung about his neck thoughtfully. 'She knows as little about herself as I do it seems' he thought.
Kaze's eyes focused again upon her form, now cloaked by his shirt that hung dry about her form. She certainly had some skill with the water. Rin's voice echoed softly amongst the trees and all life seemed to sway about her, her own form seeming to set the motions of the world in languid graceful ways. She was a wild one and in tune with nature on a level that most beings could never dream of aspiring too. Her scent wafted behind her and Kaze found himself enveloped in her scent, sound and sway, no doubt any mortal man would be enchanted to the edge of reason, she must have great reason not to trust any male around her he reasoned... though... he wondered if he had caught the slightest glimmer of trust for the briefest of moments....
The female then ascended into the tree's continuing her walk as gracefully up there as she had on the ground. He watched her for some time and returned once again to his thoughts, endless streams of disjointed memories and questions and countless images and sensations that made so very little sense.... and always they returned to the silvery wolfess, the moon behind her setting her silvery fur aglow, her blue eyes gazing down into his as she cradled his almost lifeless form in her arms effortlessly... the movement of her maw and the words that were herd and felt as if they resonated through his entire being and yet the words he could not recall...
Kaze rose his eyes to the bright green canopy above, his right hand rising to thread his fingers into the silver hair above his brow and pushing it back. "In all honesty I dont know what or even who I am... I have no memories from before a certain point in my life..." he commented. As his gaze lowered again he found that the graceful form of Rin had disappeared entirely. He stopped and gazed around before suddenly finding himself face to face with her as she swung from a branch above him. His top in her hand.
"Uugh...Thank you" he muttered softly, reaching for his shirt and diverting his eyes....

It didn't take Rin any more than a few seconds to pick up on the way Kaze averted his eyes, and in all honesty it brought a laugh from the young lass, though it was a soft, beautiful one. "You know, you might not be so bad, Red~ I've never actually had a man have enough decency to look away." Shaking her head a little her smile softened as she held the shirt out for him some more. "Go on. Take it. I'm not going to bite~" her voice remained a soft, gentle little purr, suddenly taking much kinder to him than she previously had. As much as she wanted to settle down and finally relax, perhaps enjoy the company of the first person since her own mother, her instincts wouldn't allow it. Something simply wasn't right, and it tugged at her, causing her ears to twitch around nervously. As it turned out, she'd been put on edge for a reason. Everything seemed to fall silent for a moment before the gruff howl of another male echoed through the forest, demanding to know who they were. In an instant she'd flipped herself back up and onto the branch, crouched down and poised to pounce or leap away, whatever the events may lead to. Her brown eyes ignited, flaring up and burning bright gold as her pupils dilated into thin slits that regarded the forest, in the general direction of the man. Seconds later, he was flying out and towards them, pausing only long enough to cast 'Red' a look of distaste, and regard her with what she could almost claim charm. Almost. She would have called it charming, had her eyes not have fallen upon the brute's blade. A man with a sword was very, very rarely any sort of thing she wanted to be around. Hell, she was nervous enough just being around Kaze.
"What in the seven hells name do you think you're doing with tha-Hey!" her voice was cut short as the man began to bark something at Kaze, something she honestly wasn't really paying attention to, her attention was too tangled up with the glint of the blade as it came sailing down towards the other male. In an instant water seemed to spear its way out of the trees around them and form a protective dome of water about the little feline, tendrils of it wavering around, ready to lash out at anything her instincts perceived as a threat that got too close, while shards of ice floated about her, glinting, dangerous edges glittering like razor sharp diamonds. Razor sharp edges that were aimed at not just the new male, but Kaze. "H-hey! No! No he's nice, dammit!" Her voice held a tinge of fear, her confidence within her own powers clearly lacking. Sure, they were powerful, but they weren't at all something she knew how to control. Hell, majority of the time they just did whatever they damn well pleased, and this happened to be one of those times.
A faint growl tore through the feline's throat as shimmering, iridescent blue markings blazed into existence over her body, the white robe-like attire billowing out about her as her eyes began to faintly glow with blue, slowly drowning out the gold. And those eyes fell upon the new man. Leaping to the ground behind him she landed in a roll, quickly springing up and whipping around to face him, her dome shifting and rippling before taking the form of a large, ornate looking scythe of ice and raging water as her aura began to spread out and flood the surrounding area. "He was not looking at you funny." Her voice was like her ice, cold, sharp and deadly, though it retained her feline purr, of which sounded closer to a growl right now, "He was being a decent male and averting his eyes. But if you want a fight, then fight me, because if you're trying to impress me by proving you're the alpha-male, you stand no chance unless you beat me in a fight. Or are you too scared to lose to a woman~?" A coy, near cocky smirk formed over her lips as predatory eyes fell upon the man. Spitting a single word in an ancient tongue the wind whipped up, stirring at the bows and sending birds flying for miles, at the same time a soft voice whispered in an ancient tongue through the wind, whispering into Kaze's ear. 'Run. I'll be fine, it's harder to kill me than most seem to believe.'

Kaze turned his head slightly, golden eyes glancing at Rin's and he reached out and took the shirt thinking playfully 'Im the one most likely to bite here' he chuckled inwardly at that, he really did like this female...
Kaze donned the shirt, its slightly stretchy material clinging close to his body and turning the white flawless skin of his chest a deep contrasting black, his muscular frame still visible beneath the tight fabric. As Kaze finished pulling it down, his eyes at his waist checking his belt, his ears twitched and tail swayed slightly. Everything had gone quiet.... His golden eyes slowly lifted as his body became rigid with taught muscle, a moment later the form of a male human had launched itself into their close proximity.
The man glared at him a wild dangerous look in his eye. Kaze took a moment a summarize this new appearance and as the male gave a smile to Rin Kaze understood. He particularly hated this chaotic type of brutish male, all action and no thought. Kaze's browns ever so slightly furrowed, his nose ever so slightly crinkled in a much more genuine distaste and despite how subtle the look was it was evident that Kaze was NOT impressed.
"Well, why are you lookin' at me funny?! You want to fight!?! HUH!!?!" This time Kaze's features really did show and the male let out a loud tsk, his fangs bearing slightly and suddenly Kaze's who body loosened... A flash of steel arced and with the grace and fluid flexibility of water Kaze ever so slightly arced his spine causing his chest and head to inch backwards, it allowed the blade to pass so close to his flesh that one might consider his action pure recklessness and luck, instead he let the sensations of the blade passing within a hairs breadth of his skin fill his senses; calculating strength speed and sharpness of blade. Time seemed to slow momentarily for Kaze as the blade flashed and his body arced and about him droplets of water floated dreamily past his golden slitted eyes but then time returned, water thrashed about them, Rin shouted and threatened and her powers took hold. Without taking his eyes from the male Kaze glanced at the shards of ice that formed around them both and herd Rin's voice in some distant part of his brain... her words lifted his soul a little, few had ever dared get close enough to him to even slightly begin to understand his personality, this female seemed to actually like him. It filled him with a strength of mind and will that was only ever experienced when his pendant was removed... this caused a grin to form on his lips and suddenly the slit like pupils began to fade leaving his eyes completely golden, the black markings that ran beneath them emphasizing them against his white skin. Everything happened within a breath of a moment and yet time was always slow with Kaze, so many thoughts and sensations battering his brain at rates beyond what most would be able to tolerate. Within a split moment Rin was on the ground behind the male, her body aglow with blue and white, a scythe forming from the water about her and words forming from her lips. Her words greatly entertained Kaze, oh he had no doubt she could handle... if not herself this male... She was beauty and power in a feline form and he loathed the thought of any male attempting to stop such a beautiful beast bare its fangs for nothing more than ego. This male was a threat he did not even once consider otherwise but she was a tempest. The wind whipped up about the female as she spat a word he did not hear and as the torrent of air surged past his ears he herd her voice upon it. Kaze grinned and his eyes locked onto hers, his grin was dangerous, his fangs glinting but his eyes spoke all... he was not going to run but he WAS going to watch... All the better for him, ever calculating, strategizing and watching the mysteries about him unfurl...
Kaze leapt backwards with the grace and agility born of his vampiric blood, his crimson wings flareing brilliantly as they unfurled from his back and thrust forwards with enough force to send him several foot away only to land, feet spread wide apart, a single clawed hand plunging into the earth to slow his retreat, tail high and eyes bright with a manic glee.... all the while the wide grin stayed firmly upon his lips. If ever it was doubted his image now showed the demon in him as clear as a drop of blood in clear water...*

He was kidding. He had to be. Seriously, there was no way this man could seriously be attempting to tell her he wouldn't fight her, simply because she had a pair of breasts and no penis.. right? He'd even gone so far as to call himself handsome, and her a 'lovely woman'. Ok. It was a first for her, she'd admit, being called a lovely woman, and in any other sort of circumstance his actions would have won him some form of respect, or at the very least brownie points for being somewhat nice. Hear ears twitched back a little more as her gaze shifted from the man, to Kaze, one brow cocked as if questioning the other male as to what in Gaea's name was wrong with this one. Shifting a little, the swirling ice and water calmed, seeping back into the earth and remaining there, ready to strike should it feel the need to, but otherwise pacified..for now. Twirling her scythe she gave an annoyed 'tch' sound before placing the butt end of it upon the ground and holding it there, her other hand falling to her hip as she turned a rather pissed off gaze to this new fellow. "The only 'punk' I'm seeing here, right now, is you. Running head first into a battle without assessing your opponent and thinking that by coming upon two, who appear to be acting friendly with one another and thinking you can get away with attempting to kill only one? That's not the brightest idea I've ever seen someone have. Lords almighty, honestly... were you front lobe lobotomised as a child or something?" Picking up her scythe she once more twirled it, and as she did it melted and slithered over her form before once more solidifying into twin daggers, one in either hand. Pacing towards him she drew in close and pointed the tip of one dagger at his throat, though she didn't dare draw close enough to actually touch him. As she stood there, the markings faded and her eyes returned to their golden form, which glared fiercely at the man before her. "Another thing. He's not hiding behind me and using me as a shield. I leapt out and demanded the fight, he's staying back to assess the situation, and our powers and moves, moron. And I'll have you know he's more chivalrous than any other man I've had the good graces to meet." Her tail shifted behind her in smooth, powerful curves and lashes, her ears pinned flat against her head as her wings fluttered softly, another half step taken to draw in closer to the man before she pointed her second dagger up and towards Kaze. "Look here, bub. I don't know how to control my powers as well as they should, and sometimes, sometimes they go and kill morons like you without me wanting them to. I need him to teach me how to control them better, so until I manage to convince him to do so, and have learned to do just that, anything that threatens him, is threatening me. Simplified down, incase you didn't comprehend, any attack you throw at him, I'm going to get in front of, regardless of how well I'm sure he could handle himself against the likes of you. So be a good, smart boy and back off, or-" Her husky voice paused for half a second, just long enough for her to bring the second dagger back, morph it into a cobra of ice and draw her hand down, the 'snake' rearing and baring it's fangs, at the perfect height to strike right at Balkin's crotch, "you're going to be losing a certain appendage I'm sure, as a male, you'd really rather not lose. Got it?" True to her species, she really was just as stubborn as a cat, and fierce as a lioness, and the intense glare she held as she gazed up into Balkin's eyes sang that fact as strongly as if she had of simply just told him herself. If Balkin wanted any piece of Kaze, he'd have to get through her.

*kaze's manic grin had subsided into a smirk, he had stood upright as the male had haulted his attack and said his piece about the intense dislike he had of fighting a woman. Kaze leant against a tree, wings furled back out of veiw against his back, ears perked, a gleam in his eye and that smirk on his lips. He looked rather relaxed, uncaring really, one hand placed open his hip.
As the male shouted and goaded Kaze on, that grin ever widened and a laugh spilt forth from his lips.... The vampiric blood made such a humorless laugh so very cold, most would shudder at he sound, though his vampire blood held little power in the ways of magic it did hold immense power over the sway of mortal minds... He had crippled lesser enemies by a simple ice cold glare, throwing thier minds into tumoil and thier hearts cold with fear.... Luckily for both him and them however he was sure that these two had plenty enough strength of will and mind to resist most of his subtle vampiric aura.
Kaze said nothing but instead listened to what Rin had to say with great interest. Her words ment a lot to him and over the corse of her explanations the grin on kaze's lips for the first time softened into something more real. As for teaching her how to controll her powers? Why not he had nothing better to do, he could teach her greater word control, that much he was experienced in, and even look into crafting her a similar pendant of restraint that would hinder her powers influanced on her.... The thought of them sharing a pendant, both made by his hands gave Kaze a warm feeling he had never really felt before, subtle, but there... Even after they parted ways she would carry a piece of him with her.... Yes, he liked this idea, the thought that his memory would remain with at least one person after he left this world.....

The moment Balkin sheathed his blade, the majority of the ice melted before slipping back into the earth and the trees about them, though a few little tendrils continued to slither along the ground and float about her legs and ankles. She remained close as he looked her over and spoke. Once she was certain he actually had gotten the idea, she gave a small sigh and stepped away from him, the further she backed away from him, the more the ice and water settled. By the time she had backed up enough to lean against the tree Kaze was in, there was no water left floating around, and her gaze had softened back to a calm, gentle chocolatey brown as she regarded him once more. The look of complete, unimpressed annoyance, however, never faded.
"So... not only are you stupid, you also suck at apologies... you know you just keep getting more and more attractive by the second. Really. It's a wonder you don't have the females clawing at one another to be your mate." Rin's voice purred softly, dripping in so much sarcasm one could almost drown in it. "As for my name, you can call me Rinai, as for why I'm here... well it sure as hell beats majority of what lies off this island, plus as far as I'm aware it's a free island, where anyone is welcomed. As for my ice... well... no. I can't actually exactly 'put it away'. Wherever there's anything with water, there's the potential for my powers to flare up instinctively, and like I said... against my will. If something is perceived as a threat, hurts me, scares me or spooks me, it's going to react, and it's favourite reactions are to slice, dice, stab, freeze, and bite. So it's not too hard to avoid it. Just don't sneak up on me, don't go throwing yourself towards myself or my... acquaintance, especially not while wielding a blade and yelling rather moronic things. Like I said, it's stupid people like you who get themselves killed by my powers, against my will. I don't like killing things. My powers, however, seem to love it. And again, like I said before, it's why I need him to teach me." Folding her arms beneath her breasts she gave another annoyed sigh and allowed her eyes to flutter shut, calming herself down to stop the potential bloodying of her perfectly white gown.
Opening her eyes, she turned her gaze upwards and looked at Kaze, her features a lot softer and her voice a lot gentler with him, holding almost an alluring promise behind the soft purr of her gentle voice. "So, how about it, Red~? Now you know why I wanted you in the forest, you up for teaching me? I can understand if you don't want to, I'm not the safest person to be around, much less trust yourself to sleep around, but it's not like the wolves are going to come down and teach me... so as far as I'm concerned, you're my best chance. Besides... it might be nice to have a bit of company around for once, right?" Tilting her head to the side she smiled softly up at him, her folded arms now appearing to be more hugging themselves than resting against her chest in annoyance. Turning back to Balkin she raised a brow and pursed her lips, as if wondering what to make of him, or what to do with him. "Also... Red... what do you want to do about him?"

The lands were poisoned, and so were the minds of it's people. No one that was different was accepted. So Yuki was searching for that somewhere, that far off and probably non-existant place where she could live a safe and relatively peaceful life. She did not really even mind if it was a happy one, as long as she could just live. Every other place she visited and attempted to make her home she was driven away from by the ignorance of people. Most thought that she had been birthed in the pits of disease that were scattered throughout the lands, that she herself was a disease or even some kind of mystical curse that would infect other if any ounce of kindness or tolerance was shown to her. This had been her life, the whole one year of it. She did not remember anything before that time, all she knew was her name and that on the 22nd of May last year, her memories began, the day she turned seventeen.
Flying through the cloudless skies Yuki searched, searched for that place she could call home. She knew if she had persistence she would find it. However, she had been flying for days, over the great expanse of water. If she did not come to rest soon, her wings would soon give out on her, not even her powers could save her if that happened. So as she soared through the perfect blue skies she kept her eyes towards the earth, searching for somewhere to land, somewhere to eat and recharge before taking flight again. From the corner of her eye, the endless blue that connected the sky to sea finally broke. A small white and green island appeared. It had green, it was good enough. With all the power she could muster she flapped her wings harder and harder, flying faster and faster towards the speck of land. That speck was soon a smudge, and a smudge a mountain, then...finally a land mass, an island.
With a sigh of relief, she decided to circle the land mass before deciding where to land, nodding to herself she levelled out her large black, bat like wings and soared. Tipping her wings she began to circle around the mysterious island. As she came to finish her circle of the mass her ear twitched, there were voices. Her snow white wolf ears perked happily as she decided to investigate further, dropping rapidly as she tucked her wings in, her fluffy white tail curled around her leg as she fell. Before she smashed into the tree tops she quickly opened her wings and glided just above them, trying to find the voices again. They had been shouting before, but now they hid from her. Looking around her long white hair flipped furiously around in the breeze, even trying to brush it out of her face with her hands didn't help. Soon her own hair was blinding her, sending her off balance. "Shit!" she shouted at the top of her lungs as she felt her wing clip a tree top, it was gonna be a crash landing for sure.
Head first into the tree tops branches snapped underneath her body as she came in at a blinding speed, her wings tearing and her pale flesh cut open by the many parts of trees she broke. Tumbling and rolling through them she finally reached the ground, tumbling over herself thrice before coming to a halt in the centre of a small clearing in the undergrowth. "Well...I would say I have had better landings...but then I would be lying..." she told herself as she attempted to laugh it off. Though she ached...oh how she ached. With a groan she placed her hands beneath her, firmly pressed against the ground and raised her beaten body off the forest floor. Tentatively standing and looking around at not only the damage she caused but where exactly she was. "I-I'm sure I will be fine! No one owns trees...no one can kill me for hurting a tree...right?" she queried herself. Talking to herself was a bad habit she had gotten into after being alone for so long, as well as personifying inanimate objects...like trees. Stumbling to the closest broken tree she leaned against "I am so so sorry Mr Tree...please tell your wife I did not mean it, you won't have to let your saplings starve, I am sure you can return to work tomorrow morning. You will be right as rain". She reassured the tree. "As for me, I need to go find where those voices were coming from, people may be frightened of me but I still like people...a dangerous habit I know! Your so right Mr Tree but I cannot help it, people are just fascinating...Do you think one of them would like to be my pet? No...yeah...I think rocks make better pets...Oh well! I best be off, got to fix myself up before I meet the people. I find they don't like blood much...especially when you swear it's not yours...I dunno...strange creatures people are..." she trailed off. Patting the tree a few times Yuki proceeded to push herself off of it and stumble around the near by area of plants and other joyous cool green things. Searching them for awhile she decided upon a few different kinds before returning to the small clearing and Mr Tree. Plopping herself upon the ground she began placing them upon her body, rubbing some against all of her wounds while spitting on others and placing them on the large grazes and tears in her wings. People...she knew they were here, they must be. She wasn't crazy...just yet anyways.

*Kaze did little over the time that Rin and this Balkin spoke amongst themselves but twitch his tail in mild amusement of Rin's blunt words, it really did humor him how brutal she was though Balkin did deserve it. Kaze watched Rin, stood beside him and leaning against the same tree as she spoke about her training and when she turned to him to ask if he accepted Kaze simply dipped his head in acknowledgment, his eyes closing in the gesture. When he opened them again Rin was smiling up at him, her arms crossed lightly about her and he felt as if the smile was a true one. Kaze's tail made one gentle lash in some recognition of the joy her smile gave him and turned his golden eyes back to Balkin, his tail pausing to twitch with a different kind of emotion. Kaze opened his lips to speak but before any words were uttered his ears twitched suddenly and his head jerked to the trees to their right. A loud shout and the sound of a falling body through the canopy. Kaze shot a glance back at Balkin that clearly said 'Dont do anything stupid or I 'will' break your neck' before turning... Kaze's light and slender form was perfectly adapt at moving with all the grace and skill of the most lithe creatures of this planet. One foot pushed lightly at the ground and the other pivoted, his poised hands and arms swung lightly drawing his body in a perfect arc whilst wings flared and opened to both balance him and prepare for the sudden thrust he gave them to launch himself east. Kaze leapt through the tree's with agile grace, each leap being complimented by a downwards thrust of his huge red wings causing him to sail further than most could clear with a bound. He weaved between the trees, swinging left and right, scents caught his keen nose and on the air was the scent of blood. Thankfully the scent of blood was of little danger too him and so he continued on until he burst into a clearing. Kaze thrust his huge wings down on that last bound in a way that caused him to rise high into the clearing. As he entered the clearing, the sunlight poring through the open canopy, he caught site of a rather beautiful but also tattered looking pale skinned female with.... well ears, tail and wings for one thing... her skin was also as pale as his. Kaze was struck with the force of how unlikely his meetings today had been and for the first time he wondered if the hand of fate really did exist... Kaze's large crimson wings fanned out allowing him to fall gracefully to the ground. He landed lightly before the female just the other side of the opening, his eyes scanning her quickly, she seemed hurt but not critical. He sighed a sigh of relief let himself fall to a sitting position, his tail wrapping around his feet as he sat. Kaze was far enough away that if the female proved dangerous he could retreat quickly enough but he had lowered himself to the ground for the sole purpose of trying not to look too intimidating. Most caught glimpse of the wings and tail and at the horns usually either bolted or attacked. He found it curious that he had met not one but three people this day and two had physical traits akin to his own that he had considered entirely unique to himself until this day..... His thoughts briefly drifted back to Rin and Balkin and a short lived uneasiness passed over him... Rin could manage herself and she would have caught onto what he was doing and where he was easily enough with those feline tendencies of hers...
To the north of the clearing the trees and bushes stirred untouched by winds, flowers rose their heads and turned, their petals expanding outwards as if the sun had moved amongst them. Vines and grasses flourished with vivid greens and all life seemed to rise and reach out for something that moved amongst them.... Silver fur shimmered as it passed beneath the dappled light that fell in slip-streams from the bright green canopy above. Blue eyes gazed briefly over the clearing to view a young man, one who this being had known for a brief yet timeless moment and a female she has seen only in dreams. Vines and flowers rose around the silver paws that left vivid green prints and coiled lovingly about her motionless body. A smile spread a silver lined maw and without a sound the form of a giant wolfess slipped back into the veil of nature, the life parting from her body that it so loving reached for as she disappeared without any trace but the vivid green of flourishing life she endlessly left in her wake....
