Yup. I wanna stock pile a butttonne of food items, preferably in bulks rather than one single piece of food at a time, but hey, I'll take whatever.
Can offer pretty much any form of payment. :3

Clever girl, hehe You will need to stockpile food if you're wanting to expand fast at first. I (and a few others) ran into a point where what food could be Gathered daily wasn't covering the "dietary needs" of all the dragons. Especially plant-type food items. Meat/seafood/insect is so often dropped in the coliseum that you can build up a comfortable buffer with those extras, but there was a real lack of plant items dropped ..so my tundras were eating me out of house and home. I believe (and I checked the video to refresh my memory) that you start with 100 Food Points for each type. Those can't be traded. Food Items are converted into Food Points, but it's only the Items that can be traded. That being said people should still be willing to sell the excess they gather, it just won't be big chunks at first. And some food is worth more food points, so like... 5 Dandelions would equal 1 Amaranth Grain. I started writing this in reply in gem conversion and decided to move it XD;; Also if you know all this and I'm blathering for no reason, please feel free to chuck a book or a pillow or something at my head.

I don't plan on keeping tundras (which I believe are the only plant-only breed thus far) so I'd be happy to trade plant food items.

Can't help there! Uh, people were mostly selling 1 Food Item for 150-300 depending on how many Food Points it could be converted into but, as usual, until the live starts we don't know how the economy will settle out. And the Food Item > Food Points is simple at least. Small things like minnows count for less points, big lobsters count for more.

Uh-oh... I really like Tundras. Unless my random starter is a Tundra right off the bat I probably won't need plants for a while, but it sounds like I'll need to stockpile them eventually.

Finally! I was beginning to wonder if only I really liked tundra dragons XD
Don't worry, windhover. You probably should stockpile a little but it won't be as big a problem in the live. In beta, gathering was capped at level 10 so I could only get smaller food items (and I had a tun of tundras ahaha). The live will be up to level 20 and will offer much larger food items (plants included).

Hey Opal, I can trade you some foods! How much do you want, and do you have a preferred type?
