So I was looking over breeding and while I really like what tey have so far, heres some things I was thinking about. Do you think crossbreeds will ever be introduced? It'd be neat to see a Fae/Tundra mix Or a Snapper/Spiral... That'd be one creepy looking creature haha Or how about variations within the breeds appearance that goes beyond coloring and markings. Like different style of ears, hair fringe, tail length, wing style etc Also a breeding show would be really neat! Could be user judges Anything you would like to see implemented into breeding?

I think mixed breeds would probably be too much work for the artists, though saying that, you never know. They are introducing new breeds, and you can already breed between the breeds, it's just that the hatchlngs are one or the other.
Breeding shows? What would they involve? You could probably do one yourself has a contest. I had a thought of breeding quests, but that's a sort of stolen idea =x
I feel a possible fan-art of a fae/tundra mix coming on, a tiny dragon with long hair and broad face...

I think mixed breeds is a good idea, but would have to require a special love potion or something

I second what eliskan said, I wish the dragons could have recessives too.

I believe they mentioned why they didnt do that; because it makes it easier to get a certain breed/colour/gene-combintation. Especially with regards to the rare breeds and genes; if your dragon has a recessive gene of a more common breed or gene, your chances of getting that rare breed/gene are even smaller than they were before. Tho having to do some background research to track down some recessive genes has its charms! As for mixed breeds, I have to agree with Harpy, it could be fun, but to have that kind of randomness in the system with make it impossible for apparel, colours and genes to fit well. And since that is what makes FR so special (everything being hand-drawn) I don't think it is a real possibility.. I would love to see the crazy combos tho!! Just don't think its gonna happen

I'm going to join the people saying hybrids and recessive genes would be a fun breeding adventure, but that it's very unlikely the admin will do anything of the sort. It would complicate a system they are deliberately trying to keep completely simple and straightforward.
Like Gaea mentioned, it would also make genes and apparel either unusable or make the artists design them for several entire new species at once. That's probably even less likely to be something they want to do and would prevent other unique breeds from being developed due to the amount of time and effort that goes into one new species.

Yea I don't see how recessive genes would be that hard to implement(and it's make breeding all the more exciting), but hybrids could be troublesome. Who knows, maybe they have hybrids in the works and are already drawing genes and apparel to fit :3

It may not necessarily be hard to implement recessives (although I think it would be) but it would definitely quadruple the size of the database. Since it currently only tracks parent/child not grandparent/parent/child.
