Hey there! So this is the basic layout of my future Skins & Accents shop. You may have seen my work on Deviantart :3
I'm putting this together to not only preview some of the skins that I haven't shown on dA, but to get feedback on the layout and prices. Your comments are highly appreciated <3 |

 The rules go here. They're not important right now, since this isn't actually FR and I'm not open just yet. 1. Follow the FlightRising TOS.
2. Respect everyone in the thread. That means no fighting or drama. Take it to PMs instead. If someone is really bugging you, PM me as a last resort.
3. Don't steal the designs or themes. That means also no editing and no coloring the larger views. Templates are provided by FlightRising, you can always make your own, but don’t copy my designs.
4. Please do not beg, whine, or ask for free things!
5. Do not discourage others from buying/bidding, or use guilt tactics.
6. Do not edit or delete posts during games, battles, or sales in the thread.

 And here is the big 'ol Premade skins & accents post! What do you guys think of my prices? Is it fair to not include the 2000 gems for a blueprint, and have the person send that to me (with an item for collateral if they choose)? PLEASE NOTE:

Wow, this is really nice! The prices seem fair, and I like that I could have a custom skin if I want! I especially like that Strawberry Fields Skin, even though I'm Shadow  I will definitely keep in you in mind for skin trades. |

Those opals are gorgeous.
Shop layout itself seems nice and straightforward~ Only small, potential critique I could make would be I think the multi-post thing is unnecessary? I've never been sure why people started setting them up that way, it just makes the shopbit take up the majority of the first page's posts. It's pretty inconsequential though.
And just cause I know a lot of people get really snappish and dramatic about it: are you gonna have snipe guards in place for auctions?
Really though, those opals. I'll be a customer once the dust settles for-sure.
edit: Oi, now that I'm thinking about it. It might be worthwhile to consider some kind of 2 / 5 / 10 list / promotion / what have you to give people a chance to work with friends or whatever to get the bulk blueprint discounts? Might be a headache to organize, I'm not sure, but somethin' to think about~

But thanks! I'm just used to the multi-post formate because of my experience in GaiaOnline's B/C forums ^^
I find it easier to edit in and out of a bunch of smaller posts rather than one huge one.
And yes, definitely will have a snipe guard. Just forgot to add it in the post haha. What do you think a good guard would be?
Also yeah, I was thinking about those bundles, but wasn't sure how to handle that. Maybe slots, like have a slot for each premade and as they fill up, ask people if they want to wait for bigger bundles or if they say, reach the first bundle they can opt to get that bulk blueprint discount c:

Personally I adore the multi-post thing, it helps keep it organised, and as dear Eli stated, you can put in an index with links. A couple of other things that I adore are your honey-comb and your opal skins. Seriously. Look at my name across everything. You knew I'd have to go and buy these... right? Right?
Haha, but no. Seriously. They're gorgeous. The only critique I can offer is there is no way in my own mind that 15k of treasure would equal 250 gems. Like, ever. With how easy treasure is to come by, and how rare gems are.. just a no go in that area. Other's my disagree, but that's what I personally think. If you're set on one price in particular, let's say the 250gems, only offer them for gems or large treasure bribes to start with, and see how the market-places settles out and decides what the conversion rate between the two becomes. That way you can ensure you're not being ripped off (which in my mind, with those prices, you are) and that you're not ripping anyone else off.

A good reason for using multiple posts is so you can have links in the first post, like an 'index'. For example, you could make a link labled Auctions that, when clicked, goes straight to your Auctions post: AuctionsTo get the link for your posts, click on the gear in the top right corner and select "Link to Post". That is the main reason I would use split posting. Oh neat! I didn't know you could do that. Thanks a bunch for letting me know : D <3! @opal: Thanks! And hmm, I'm thinking I may do that, I kinda wanted to lower my prices a bunch to attract people initially, then raise them, but I probably should wait to see what the conversion rate will be (it's also not fair to those who won't be with us in headstart which I'd feel bad about). @snow: Haha, that's fine. On Gaia there's a nice little [code*] button. Hoping that the actual FR forums will have that, and maybe a "spoiler" or "readmore" code so that people with slower computers can open and close the image-heavy posts :3 |
