Hey guys! I've been going over the YouTube videos and discussions on gathering and the coliseum and just have a couple questions if somebody can help me! ^^
1. Is there a limit to the number of coliseum battles per day? Or is it just when you run out of energy? 2. If you can battle as long as you have energy, and you can use food points to replenish energy, can you technically battle until you are out of food? 3. For gathering, there are options: Hunting, Fishing, Insect Catching, Foraging, Digging and Scavenging. Do Digging and Scavenging result in food as well? Since there are only the four different food types what is the purpose of the last two?
Thanks for any help I can get, just want to figure this stuff out before launch! :3

I am not an informed source but this is my understanding from what I've seen/read:
1 and 2) You can battle as long as your dragons have energy, so yes, theoretically you could battle until you run out of food for your dragons. I feel like that is not the wisest of decisions, though. XD
3) Digging and Scavenging are, I believe, ways to gather random items. I believe that Scavenging is, at least, and that it's how you find random abandoned eggs. I assume Digging is similar. There might be things like special rocks and fossils and suchlike and so forth, but that's pure speculation.

Swiftla; yes about points 1 and 2 I agree with Inventrix, technically it is possible, but might not be very wise (especially since you get 5 extra gathering turns per day if you keep your clan's health above 80% for three consecutive days). About point 3, flightrising.com/main.php?p=wiki&article=16 if you look at this site I would say you won't find food with either scavenging or digging. It doesn't say there explicitely, so it is just an assumption. But seeing how many different and important items you can find using those two options, I think also being able to find food items this way, would only be something negative for us. Things you can find scavenging and digging (Im not sure which item belong to which method) are apparel, familiars, orphaned eggs, battle stones (not unimportant) and some other nifty or useless stuff you can sell for either high or low prices in the market. But Im not 100% sure, they didn't elaborate on this subject too much, so it is mostly guessing for my part. Oh I just got a brilliant idea; maybe we can try to keep track of what kind of items we find using digging and scavenging turns. So we can make a list for others to see! For example if I really need a particular item, and I have no idea how to obtain it, I can scan through a list of items other people have found using either scavending or digging, and see if it is possible to find it that way! What do you guys think?

Thanks a bunch for both of your answers! I believe I got what I needed ^^ And that sounds like a great idea Gaea! That way we can probably establish a rough frequency of finding certain items as well! ^^

Ooooooooo data collection! Maybe I should make a wiki type thing for it. They recorded alot of this information in the forum during the beta. I copied it down before they wiped the forum. If you start the wiki, I'll dig up the spreadsheet and send to you. Who knows how much of it is still accurate but it is something to start with.

slvrstarr (jarlis) at the moment I'm considering wiki software things and trying to convince myself that writing my own interface is a terrible idea and I shouldn't do it because I'll regret it. >.>; But I'll let you know if/when I do! (If I do, it'll be within the next 24 hours for sure.)

Inventrix - Take a deep breath and step slowly away from the keyboard. We wouldn't want you to do anything you would regret, let alone anything that would take time away from playing FR!!!
We could just go simple and drop everything into a couple posts that could be updated as new information is discovered.

Ooooooh or an online spreadsheet! I like spreadsheets! Can you still do things like that with Google Docs... what are they calling it now, Drive?

yes, It's called Drive now, I think you can still do that. I've never used google docs so we'll have to test it out.

Inventrix; I believe a wiki page will be produced by the admins themselves, so starting an entire new web probably won't be necessary. Tho Im not sure whether their wiki page will include all the items that you can find, as the admins want a lot of stuff the remain a surprise as well (which is understandable, ofcourse! ) So that google drive/docs thingy whateveritiscalled sounds like a great plan! Tho I think we better wait a bit to see whether the admins will include such a list on their wiki slvrstarr (jarlis): where would we be without your thinking-ahead? <3

Gaia: I copied the info so I would have time to look at it. I didn't get into the beta and knew they were going to wipe the forum and it just struck me as very useful information to know.
