This thread used to contain bundle trading info. I have cut it from here, and saved it into a doc for use after launch. Everyone on the list will remain there, and once I post it back up, I'll send you a message to see if you're still interested or not.
I will give away a Headstart code to one person who is unable to donate. Feel free to ask for it even if you've entered other giveaways. If you win something, I'll edit my list, if not, you're still up for winning this. Please do not enter if you already have a Headstart code. This is for folks who didn't have the chance at one.
I'm giving this away for free, whoever gets it owes me nothing.
I will be picking someone out from a random number generator (RNG), for the sake of fairness.
Once someone's been picked out, I'll send you a PM to confirm you're the winner. You will have two days to respond. If you respond on time, I will send you the code, which I have already received. If you fail to respond, I will select someone else and try again.
Giveaway Deadline: Entries will close MAY 29TH at 12 PM EST. I will then select a winner, post that someone has been selected and send them a message on this forum. So please check in on the 29th, even if you aren't active here.
Giveaway Entries: The numbers indicate your number for the RNG. Striked means users who entered but have already won a headstart or pack from another giveaway, or have arranged a trade with someone else to get it. #1 manticore #2 Harpy #3 aerojazz #4 spiritofsakura #5 shadowhuntress #6 Xin Xiao #7 Frost #8 ThatGodCat #9 kadra90 #10 violadeep #11 Inventrix #12 mountainchild (winner of the code) #13 Dreamseeker #14 weirdsketch #15 syn #16 Makoglider #17 micklanis

Thanks. I wanted to give away a headstart if I got any extra money to begin with, and luckily, that chance came around just in time.

I would like to enter. Do we have to do anything or just post?
I may want to trade for the Cloudy Bundle, be either newborns, gems or treasure. Do you have a rough idea of value or going to wait and see?

HI Little Blue! I'd love to enter in the headstart give-away, just incase I dont get selected in Opalescent Wings' give away.. And I was also kind of interested in the Fiendish bundle, but I was wondering how much you'd want for it, cause Im not sure how long it will take me to get that ready and how long you are prepared to wait for it. But thank you for giving people with no credit card and no way to donate, like me, a chance! that's just awesome! ^_^

Manticore, Harpy and Aerojazz, I've added you to the list. There is nothing you need to do other than post, since I'll be picking a winner at random. And Aerojazz and Harpy, each bundle contains four items, a Vista, apparel item, familiar and a skin (thanks to the Backer Upgrades stretch goal). Three of those items will be trade-able. The vista will be account-bound. So I'd look for at least 2 things in a trade to make it even. 2 to 4 would probably be the best offers. One dragon would count as an individual item, but if it isn't a Gen 1 or 2 (Gen 1 as in it has no parents, and therefore can breed with anything, and Gen 2 as in it was born from two Gen 1 parents), it will probably be worth less than I'm looking for. As for how long I'd wait, I'd give people time to settle into the game before I started asking for their half of the trade, so I can wait a while. The only time-limit I would really put on it is if there ends up being an expiration date on the bundles, or if I accept someone's offer but then they make me wait an unreasonable amount of time (like two months or such) for their half of it. But, considering how long I'll have it up for, and that trades may not be in full perspective until Launch, you'll be free to make an offer now, and then change it later on. If I decide that at some point, I don't want people changing their offers anymore, I'll announce that in the thread and edit my first post, but until then, you can change it as often as you'd like. (I'm gonna go add this info to the first post, I think)

Is it also possible to just trade for the familiar of the bundles? Cause those are the things Im most interested in! Seeing how I just love those little critters! ^_^ And what do you consider a pretty dragon? Cause then I can try breeding one for trading! If I can trade for the familiar only, I'd like to sign up for the skycat, golden idol and bone fiend familiar

Hmm... I don't know if I would want to separate the bundles, because it may be harder to sell the rest of the items once they're separated as well. Additionally, it would render the Vista useless, because it would be attached to MY account if I open the second bundle instead of trading the code. But I would consider it at the moment.
If you want to put down dragons as your offer for just the familiars (one per familiar would work), let me know and I'll note it down in the offers. But like I said, I'm not sure I want to break up the bundles, so those offers would be a bit iffy for me right now.
I described what dragons I like in the top post, as well. The color combinations that I like would matter the most. I won't worry about the tertiary color too much, since that only shows up on genes, and I can use a Gene Removal scroll if the color is unfitting.
Breeds are all good other than Snapper, but Spirals are my absolute favorite. Mirrors, Guardians and female Imperials are my other favorites.

I see you asking for first an second gen dragons! This isn't Dragon Cave, new game, new rules No one can promise you a first gen in trade. You get two primogenitors when you start - one whose coloration you can chose and one whose colors are randomly chosen. These can never be sold/traded/separated from the account in any way. The only other way is to find a random egg by scavenging or as random loot in the coliseum and that is a very rare event...and since it's a randomly generated color the odds of an attractive one are even more rare. Even a second gen dragon in the exact colors you want will take time to find. Also "pure" lines might be harder to find then you expect, as you never now when someone will use a breed change scroll. Because of how customizable FR is, you may have more fun and freedom of play if you look more to selective breeding of certain colors and genes rather than focusing on low gen, pure-breds like other adoptable sites where parentless eggs are plentiful and all sprites of the same breed are identical.

I wasn't really sure what to call them, because, yes, it is a new kind of game. By first gen, I did not mean the starters, but those born from the Random Eggs, which would also count as parentless. I wasn't sure if starters were trade-able or not, but I also figured people would only trade the Egg-borne, anyway.
As for pure lineage, I just don't like the idea of cross-breeding related dragons, and I heard that it is impossible to do this if they've related within... 3 generations, I think? But I would prefer no overlap... And yes, that may be harder, but I have yet to play the game myself to learn that from experience.
I was not in the beta, which I've stated, so that is why I'm leaving the trades open passed the launch, so I and other non-betas can get introduced to the game and realize what is actually fair or unrealistic.

Ah, then I apologize. I misunderstood what you were asking.
If it helps, you don't have to worry about inbreeding much. It's actually 5 generations of separation before the game would allow breeding and with a population as large as it would appear FR will have there will be plenty of diversity. I thought you meant "all faes" or "all mirrors", etc by pure lines not inbreeding. That kind of thing would be hard because some people will be using breed change scrolls just for fun, so your fae's parents could end up totally different breeds after a month.
To get a parentless egg will be rare, but the codes you're trading are rarer. It would be fair to ask for one, but you would have to be patient. It could take three days or three months of play before a player got a random egg and the colors could be some horrific combination. Just things to think about, as well as the trustworthiness of the trader - because the admin already said they can't enforce trades that aren't a direct and immediate "this for this".
I think it's a great idea though, for non-beta players to talk about what is and isn't fair. I don't think any of us want to see people get taken advantage of. Also gems can be gotten through random loot, through scavenging, by bonding with familiars, and probably adventures when they have that area open. Rare but not impossible. And you get 1 per day if you keep your dragon's health about 80%. I hope maybe that helps place a value on gems?

Ahh, did I word things confusingly? I'm sorry if I did, maybe I'll check and try to change it a bit. Parentage is the only thing that worried me, I know trying to keep breeds straight would just be crazy.
I come from a site called Khimeros, where it's possible to go back through a pet's entire family history. Some of the members there will go through those whole things to make sure there isn't any inbreeding before buying a pet, and I have to admit, I tend to be one of them. Lol.
And yeah, I understand the eggs will be rare, but I can be patient, as you said. These things will never be available again, I want to make sure I can get something worth while, especially since the buyer may want to sell the items later on for their own profit (which wouldn't bother me at all, I may sell some of my Gilded items from my personal bundles later on, too).
Trading is iffy on every site when you can't use a trade interface, yeah. That's why I ask that the person sends me their half of the trade first, so I don't send the code only to get ripped off, but at the same time, anyone who trades with me may still worry that I could do the same thing. Trust is important on these trades, but this community has been very friend and kind, I don't think anyone would want to ruin their and the site's good reputations by getting greedy like that.
Thanks for the information on Gems. I knew they were available in game, but I didn't know much about the sources they could be earned from.

Hi there! Could I enter the giveaway, please? I think it's really cool that you're doing this, so thank you! It's a great opportunity for those of us who are unable to donate. Once the game starts, if I have anything you might like that I could potentially trade, I may edit this.
