Aside from element and starter, what else are you planning for your clan? I don't have much of an idea going but I'm trying to turn characters into dragons for giggles, such as my own and others from videogames. Since there's going to be 11 dragons (at launch anyway, counting the Skydancer) and 11 gods, I'm trying to get each dragon species aligned to each god and this will be my main little crew to fight with and spoil with nice things. I'm writing up little drabbles for them and will plan for genes and colors as much as I can, but getting appropriate elements will be my focus. The others in my lair will be named after characters for fun, pretty dragons, etc.

I've never heard of the skydancer! where can i find a picture. I thought there would only be 10 available breeds! Exciting!!!! My clan plans, its gonna sound like fruitbowl. My main dragon's name is gonna be dragonfruit, and depending on colour combinations I will name my other dragons after plants, flowers or fruits, to suit my nature element I am thinking about writing my own little background story, but only if I have the time for it (and inspiration!)

Oh right. I saw those sketches on reddit, but didn't realise it had a name already! Awesome!! Tho I dont think it'll be done for launch, since they also need to draw every piece of apparel and tetiary genes on it, and the snappers and spirals too. So I think it'll be available a few weeks after launch.. But my main goal is to have as many types of dragons and elements as possible, so whenever the skydancer is available, Ill definitly try to obtain it! And as I am a hoarder I want all the familiars there are, which is gonna be tough since there are four kickstarter exclusive familiars ..

Well, even if they aren't available at launch I'm going to save a spot for one in my little group.

I've decided on my first dragon and made a few other characters, colouring is what is stumping me though, I may do my first in greens and browns and get him the speckle gene, for camouflage purposes.
Also I might make my own clan page/forum fr writing/journal purposes.

My plan is to immediately start breeding (and trading) for pretty color combinations––probably greens, blues and purples, blending into reds if that's what I can get. Different breeds and genes can come later, once I have the treasure and gems to pay for them. I would like to get a Pearlcatcher relatively soon after starting, along with an Imperial or Wildclaw. The Coliseum is going to be pretty important, but breeding is going to take priority over battling. I have a solid backstory for my two progenitors already, along with a driving force for the clan as a whole––a task that all Windhover dragons are sworn to carry out. I have this vague idea that a whole bunch of youngsters might form a dragon band... but what kind of band it will be will depend on breeds, colors and whatever personalities the hatchlings have. Oh, and I also have a naming scheme for their offspring (so I can easily keep track of what generation they are). First generation names are all from... erm... the same genre of books (I'll see who guesses it first once the game starts), second generation is all characters from Dickens novels, third is scientific animal names (Megaptera, Norops, Danaus), forth is scientists, inventors and explorers (Cuvier, Curie, Galileo, Hubble, etc), and so on.

Lol Windhover I like the way you planned out your naming! I have a naming scheme up too, but Im not quite sure how to apply it. I will be a Nature Clan so I know I want my dragons to have Natury names, like Strawberry and Coconut, so Ive listed a few ending with -berry, Ive listed a few nuts, some other fruits and some flowers, and some regular plants and grasses.. I was thinking about using them for different generations too, but I wasnt sure in what order yet.. Also because I want their name to match their colouring a bit.. So I might just scramble them in the end .. But I like the way you have everything planned out already! Can't wait to read the backstory of you clan ^_^

I honestly have no scheme, that sounds pretty bad against all of your amazing plans, but I honestly don't. I wouldn't want to limit myself in anyway.

I'm with you, Snow. I have no real scheme - I just want to have lots of fun and make it up as I go along Don't want to box myself in. The only things I know I really want to do are collecting familiars aand dragon god dolls.

Familiars are one of my goals as well! And I hope its gonna take a while before I can get em all! I also can't wait for that adventure feature they're developing. Sounds really exciting and like a must-do! But yeah, having no scheme is not really that bad, dont worry! The only reason I have it, is because it keeps me busy while waiting for the game to launch. Knowing me, I probably change my mind once or twice before the game airs, as I have changed my mind a couple of times already xD

Well, some familiars are gems only I think, so should take a while. I don't know if the ones in the shops you can find elsewhere though. I want wolves and harpies..

Did you guys notice there is an editable information section for each dragon?! I don't know if it was there during beta, but I just noticed it just now! And Im loving it! :3 Now I can tell a little background story for all the dragons in my lair! <3 Plainly brilliant ^_^

Gaea, I did notice when I was lurking a few dragon lairs post-Beta. (wasn't in Beta) some users had used it to tell their dragon's character and personality! I don't know if we can use it to show off fan art of the dragons or other image-based info, but it would be nice. I'm planning on breeding a few generations of starters before scrolling- I'm going to Imp-scroll my starter female and trade for an unrelated starter-breed male. My dragon goals are to breed Imps, Guardians, Spirals and Fay, I think, in a few different colors. I'd like to get a Clown/Eyespot, Tiger/Stripe and Speckle/Freckle at some point! Those Kickstarter familiars are going on my starter dragons immediately! I want that Familiar cash/treasure chests. Also going to level up my hunting/scavenging as soon as possible. I'm so happy there's a 'go hunt for random object' portion to this game! I'm such a sucker for those. It fulfills my 'must go find frogs/snakes/arrowheads/feathers/shiny rocks' desires in real life. Also- battling. I'd be thrilled to build a team of one tank-type, one magician and one support-type, though I'm not very experienced with battle-type games and it may take some trial and error!

So I thought about what dragons I'm likely going to be drawn to and I figured I'll mostly be collecting gray dragons; grays and blues, grays and whites, combinations like that. I love grays! If I get any that aren't already of the lightning flight I plan on breeding them, and their offspring will be getting weather-related terms as names.
