I'm going to try to collect dragons with really beautiful color combos, and at least one of every gene. I will make a storyline for them (nature tribe) and will RP them too. All my dragons will have a unique name and character profile, even if it is just a few words.
My main goals are to breed my perfect dragon pair to turn into imperials -
P - Crimson S - Fire T - Dust/Tomato/Blood/Maroon P - Mulberry S - Storm T - Teal/Emerald
I also want to aquire a red/blue and a blue/orange dragon! And lots of warm coloured dragons or earthy/nature coloured ones.

Its good to have it all planned out! If I ever get a dragon with those colourcombinations and I don't have room for it in my lair, Ill send you a message! But I dont believe it is possible to trade your starter dragon. From what I've heard a lot of people are scrolling their starters into Imps, because in that way they can make sure they don't accidentally exalt their last imperial. Soo.. That makes me think that it is not possible to trade or exalt your starter dragons. But ofcourse I can be wrong.. You can however trade other first generations, by finding and hatching orphaned eggs.. That's what Im gonna focus on, rather than breeding. To make sure I have the most genetic variety, and hopefully some different elements as well

Gaea, I'm with you on genetic and element diversity! According to the battle elemental chart some Beta players put together, the strengths and weaknesses of different elements can have a pretty big impact on the team's effectiveness against different monsters.

That's why I want to set up breeding buddies with folks in other elements. I want to do a lot of coliseum stuff, and it'll be easier to do with a varied group. Also, having partners will make it easier to breed dragons for color/genetic diversity too.

Wind isn't the best element in coliseum, but I'm not giving up Windclan for personal reasons.

Wind isn't the best element in coliseum, but I'm not giving up Windclan for personal reasons. Its not true that wind isn't the best element. no element is the best as they all have two weaknesses, two strengths and two resisting elements. So in that way all elements are equal. Whether your choice turns out to be useful in the end only depends on luck and how many people choose the elements you are weak against. But there is no 'better' element than any other. That's why I love it so much, cause for example with pokemon, where some types have only a few weaknesses, others have loads, or like Dragon, which only has one type it is supereffective against, while for example fighting is super effective against normal, dark, rock, steel and ice. That definitly makes things a bit unfair.. So yeah,, my point being, wind is just as good as any element, and I am definitly wanting a wind dragon on my perfect team, so don't give up your clan choice just yet

For some reason I must've misread some statistics, then ^^. Thanks for clearing this out :3

No problem! You should feel confident about the element choice you've made! ^_^

Indeed. Eliskan did make a program that compared strengths and weaknesses in a very analytically way, so team make-up is important, but I don't think it'll end up with "one team beats all" more than just, variety is good. I think if we do see one team set up getting too strong, the staff will do something to level the playing field.

Yeah I made such a list for myself too, and Wind is in my best team compisition. That has the most strengths and least weaknesses. But how well that team will do in the end depends on the particular types the opponent has.. If he/she has three times my weakness, Im still doomed

I haven't gone through the Coliseum lists yet...I'll probably figure it out as I play. Though sometimes I get stuck on weird combinations and will do anything to make them work. Hopefully, my many years of playing RPGs will help >.>

Yeah true, you have to find out in what way the the PvC battles go (what the monsters battle like) and ofcourse apart from elements, there is also a lot of choices to be made when it comes down to stat allocation and the choice of battlestones! Ohh I cant wait!! I had a dream about it last night.. tho it didnt end all that well for me, hahaha!

Oh yeah. PvC and PvP are always different, and the strategy that works for one won't work for the other. I'll probably be doing more of the PvC stuff myself.
