This is preemptive and of little purpose, save that I'm bored tonight and very excited to see this game go live. - I will be starting the game as Arcane, with a Guardian female of light, 'cold' coloring (white/white, white/ice, etc) and the usual random male. I will be breeding these starters two or three times before I scroll for Imps or save up enough for genes, so I'd like to use the time to diversify bloodlines. I'll select for colors once there's a bit more diversity in both the game and my own lair, but since 'related' lasts five generations... it's gonna be hard to be a clan on an island! So who wants to trade babies with me?! :Arcane Male for any Male: :Arcane Female for any Female: This is by no means a contract thing, but rather just a way of networking pre-game and, hopefully, the foundation for in-game friendships and alliances. I'm not picky about breed, clan or color- diversity is the objective- and we can't guarantee anyone any particular result at this point anyway

Hello =) Honestly, I'd love to get in touch with other people and trade babies. And don't worry about this being early; I've had my clan planned out since before Beta finished.
I'm planning on doing a Light clan...not sure if I'm going to blow my Imperial scrolls right away, or if I'll breed first...but my starter dragon is going to be avocado/obsidian.

Hey there guys! This is a BRILLIANT idea, one I was wanting to try out myself but I didn't think others would be interested (or that we'd have enough people, but there's been a boom in member numbers of late). Because of this I'm going to make a sub-forum within the trading-post section, specifically for early hatchling/dragon trades, that way everyone can have their own thread in there without cluttering up the main section, and it will be easier for myself and current/future MODs/Admin to work on keeping track of the trades.

Im gonna be part of the nature flight, and as one of my goals is to gather as much elements as possible, I would love to trade babies with you guys! I do have one little condition, and that is that I prefer unnamed babies, since I will be having a themed clan, including themed names, so that I dont have to pay a re-naming scroll. I will not name any babies until I am sure they are staying in my lair, so if I trade with anyone, you will receive an unnamed baby Oh I can't wait! My first dragon will be a pink and green one. Im leaning toward female fae, but this might change in the spur of the moment, when Im creating my starter dragon. I am also not picky about breeds, as they are changeable and all, but I always prefer diversity @opal, have you decided which clan you are gonna be on? Or are you gonna make it some kind of last-minute decision while you are creating your account?

@gaea - Nope. Haven't really decided yet. Probably going to be a spur of the moment thing, but I'm most likely going to go with Nature, Wind or Shadow.

@opal: I think your dragonsona (if she is your dragonsona, and if I got the name right..) looks like a wind x)
Any hatchlings that I trade will be left name-less, unless the person gives me a name for it. I shall be in the nature clan too, and shall not be fussed about breed, though I really like faes.

Harpy : Yes, I was thinking that. Wind, nature and shadow all fit my personality well, which is why it's so difficult to choose between them. As for being a dragonsona... she is. Kind of. I really, more or less, have three. All with similar personalities, but very different colour-sets. And I'll be the same. I won't name a dragon until I'm sure I wish to keep it in my clan, so all of my offspring will be sold as unnameds. I also adore most of the dragon breeds, aside from maybe the ridgeback, so beyond that I won't be too fussed about what dragons I do get, so long as the trade is equal. ^^

The Opal Lady Maybe you could trade for 2 dragons from the other 2 clans/flights you didn't choose and have them as the other 2 dragonsons, lol.

Harpy Haha, yes. Yes I could, and I most likely will. I plan on having a solid collection of dragons from various elements/flights/clans, but my own personal clan flight is something I've still yet to decide. Big decision and all. ;P But no, seriously though, I want at least one of every flight so that way I can have the best chance at combat set ups, preferably three of every type eventually so that I can have a support, attack and healer of every type.

I'd be up for some early trading.
My starter will be a Guardian, black and a dark blue, but I won't be sure of the exact colors until I get in and test them. I'm going Lightning. I'm most interested in getting Shadow, Ice and Earth dragons as soon as I can, as they are some of my other favorite elements.

don't forget about the colour wheel, the closer the colours of the parents are on the wheel, the less varied the colours of the offspring, if you get my meaning. They did have it up somewhere but I'm not sure where.

I will definitely be up for trading pretty early on. I'll be Lightning flight, and I'll probably be looking for hatchlings of any flight, of any breed––but preferably bright blue or green color combinations.
My starter male is going to be a Mirror with shades of dark, dull green (I think Swamp is one of the colors I like)––yes, I know, kind of boring, but it fits his character. What his mate will look like is anybody's guess––as long as she's not hot pink, it should work out all right.

It was on the forum, so it's gone now. I kept a copy though, in case anyone needs/wants to see it. 20 more colors have been added since then, but you can still tell where they go.

Wow, this got a few replies! Exciting I will remember not to name any babies I want to trade! And yes, if anyone does have a copy of the color wheel, it might be nice to have it around the forum somewhere.

I'd definitely be interested in trading. I'll be breeding my starter pair a few times before I use my scrolls. Now I just need to figure out what to start with....
