I agree it's kind of awkward... but then I started thinking about it: if you were a dragon, where would you store your scrolls? Not slung over one shoulder; it would get in the way of either your legs or or your wings. You could strap it to your back, but that might significantly shift your center of gravity, which would make flying awkward. Also, that way, if one of the straps breaks, you can catch it before it hits the ground. Thus, I am forced to conclude that this is, actually, a reasonable place for for the scroll case.
Hang on--is the back strap going between the wing membrane and the skin of the back? Am I seeing this wrong, or would a dragon require a wing-piercing for that?

Its true its going through the membrane, but also with the bandages and wingstraps, it all goes through, cause there is no other way to attach em,, other than wrapping it around the entire wing, which would both not be as beautiful as it is now, and be a nuisance while trying to fly.. I guess you need a bit of fantasy to not be bothered by it

I saw it just before beta ended on a fae and it looked MUCH better. I think some apparel items just don't look good on certain species. ... I wonder if I saved that one... EDIT: Yep. I did. Haha, it's actualy the same dragon too! Just with a breed change and a tiger gene. You could still say it looks like it might be going through the wings, but honestly most of the apparel items require some suspension of disbelief.

The cloud wings look better on the male fae.

Here you could argue it goes over the place where the wing is attached to the main body, so it doesnt actually go through, but yes as said before, some pieces of apparel go better on certain species and genders.. I really like the scroll tho! And on this fae dragon it also looks better than on the pearlcatcher

Actually, I find it kind of awkward. More so than the previous version. There is no strap around the neck, at the very least. It's clinging to the belly in a gravity-defying fashion with just some leather straps that must be pretty constricting to hold on like that.

I agree, it should at least go around the neck, between the neck and the wing, so that it actually can hang around its neck/shoulder, without any need to holding on to it.. But Im not all that picky, I think I can live with it..

I think it does, but the mane/shoulder is in the way of the strap that goes over the back of the neck. I can't imagine it'd be any more uncomfortable than a shoulder bag containing laptop/textbook is in real life.
