Heya, I'm the Universal Child for the moment - until I can think of what my username will be for FR! I am struggling between picking a fantasy name from one of my RP characters (Lorelei or Shae-Asha) or a more wordy name like Entheogenic or Psypixie or a mythical goddess name like Lakshmi, Nyx, Hecate or Kali... I like fantasy names because they have a personal feel, but then I think wordy names can give a hint of what you're like, and then goddess names sound magical and conjure up an image. Meep.
I LOVE DRAGONS! I am a proper fanatic and I read lots of dragon books, play dragon games, and in fact basically is just a dragon.
I'm 21 and live in the UK. I'm too old for these sorta games really but I can't help myself : P I don't really have a lot of time for it but sometimes I need to kill time so I play games online. I work as a carer and live with my boyfriend in the countryside in a beautiful house with four guinea pigs living free in our field and free-range chickens who are the source of much amusement. I love going to festivals and parties. I'm a vegetarian and I love animals and I aim to live a sustainable environmentally friendly life. I think people will find my opinions quacky but I don't mind xD As long as people show respect I don't think it matters too much what goes on in our own heads.
I love art but I probably won't try and sell it really as my choice of medium isn't pencil/pen work... I do abstract oil pastels and I do UV reactive paintings. I also love D&D and LARPing and theatre :3 And I do crafts and cooking. And music. And dance. And writing! I just love any kind of creative outlet haha.
My plan is to be in the Nature flight and create a guardian as my prog with warm colours (either red/orange or brown/orange) - I have the All the Things pack and hope to make some imperials eventually, and my breeding plan will be to create my perfect pair (one red/brown/orange imperial and one purple/blue/light purple imperial) by buying and breeding and trading! My second goal will be to aquire a pair of wildclaws that are unrelated. I also plan on either breeding or aquiring some of my favourite colour combinations like blue/orange and dark blue/dark red.
I plan on doing a bit of RPing maybe, although I'm not into the whole "advanced literate elite" type thing, I prefer role-playing to be more about character interaction and plot-line then lots of description/story-telling ^^ So if you're like me then feel free to message me and when the site is active we could hook up perhaps!

Welcome to the forum! And you're not quacky. I may live in the suburbs, but I'm also a vegetarian with a backyard full of chickens (and it is legal to own them in my town, despite being a higher population area). Only one guinea pig though. And then we other pets and some foster animals~ Interesting choice paintings, though. Would there ever be a chance that you'd post up some photos of them? I've never really seen UV reactive paintings.

UniversalChild! Welcome to the club! First of all; you are not too old! Im 20, with my 21st birthday being very close (28th may) so, eh don't say such crazy stuff! And Im a vegetarian too, tho here in Holland most people just think Im crazy for that..! When Im done with university and I got enough money, I wanna build me a house like that! Little chickens, some sheep and goats, but most importantly pigs! Oh I love pigs! I want to have my own little garden full of veggies and fruits! No pets or animals now, cause we are not allowed to have them according to our renting contract, but oh once we move to a place where we can have some..! ^_^ Im also gonna be part of the nature flight! I think that flight resembles me most, tho Im also a bit arcane-y, hihi! I love daydreaming and watching the stars.. Anyways, as for the game, I'd love to get dragons of all flights and breeds, so we could definitly trade at some point if I got what you want and you got what I want. I don't have any imperial scrolls tho, but maybe I get lucky and there will be an imperial baby boom at some point! Glad to have you around! ^_^

Hey, you're never too old to have fun or play games! I'm 25 and totally unashamed to say I'm loving this! My mother (who just turned 55) has been following the progress of Flight Rising with just as much enthusiasm. So welcome, welcome! You'll fit in like a hand fits a glove among the rest of us dragon lovers, I'm sure. I'm not vegetarian, but I can certainly respect someone who lives out their beliefs rather than the sort who follows every fad. Also, that's an impressive list of hobbies - but I think really creative types tend to spread out over many areas of the arts. God knows, I have. I've heard of UV reactive painting and screenprinting, but never saw much of it. Do you periodically expose it to UV while you're painting to check the effect?

Paradoxical BlueI have a chicken called Little Bluey! Haha she has three little chicks at the moment. We have ten chicks in total. It's nice to meet another chicken owner :3 And veggie too. I'm surprised, lots of my friends are vegetarian but on the internet people generally treat me like I'm nuts! I can find a photo, sure thing. I'll stick up an oil pastel while I'm at it for comparison. @gaea Yay, another fellow nature follower! I guess the upside to having these flights is that you can guess (well, vaguely) what kind of people might follow each one, like I imagine nature people are more likely to be nature lovers like us xD I'm gonna save my imperial scrolls until I have the perfect pair. jcstitches True that, my boyfriend laughs at me though, he's an old fart sometimes (45 years old, big age gap @_@ he plays chess online. I have been following FR for like mooonths now, hehe. I'm not hugely talented in any area, but I dabble in everything. Music is very new for me, I want to learn guitar or maybe the harp and also want to learn how to mix, as my boyfriend is a DJ and an amaaaazing muscian. He plays the most beautiful guitar music ever. My boyfriend runs a UV art/decor company and a uv paint business - www.visualbliss.co.uk/themes/glowlines.htm - some good examples. We use the UV light while painting the whole thing. Here is a dragon eye I did -

Hah, that's pretty cool. And I think pet-based sites, including dragon pets, just tends to have higher rates of vegetarians than most other parts of the Internet, because people who are very involved with animals are more likely to go veggie. xD
And wow, the glowlines stuff is pretty cool lookin'. Nice work with the dragon eye painting, as well.

Bah, like jcstitches said, never too old, I'm 30 this year and still love my animal sims, now all we need is a good chicken sim and we are set.
I've been wanting to keep chickens for a while now, but space and finances are limited. Mum has the garden full of plants.

Dabbling's fun! And it would be amazing to learn the harp - I've wanted to learn but there's nowhere I can find that teaches it. I guess guitar (and mixing) would be easier in your case, since your boyfriend could teach you! Gosh, that's a cool medium and I think you're definitely coming along <3 Harpy I would jump on the bandwagon so fast if someone made a good chicken sim.

HarpyIt's worth it once it's set up properly, free eggs! But yeah space can be a problem. If you get enough money/time for it an allotment can be worth it ^^ jcstitchesYeah guitar/mixing would be easiest but there is a local harp shop with a couple of harp tutors and it's very tempting... Hugely expensive though! I love UV :3 Anything glowy or shiny is a winner. Thanks <3

Hiya, universalchild! I'm 22 over here––you're definitely not too old. I'm actually kind of (pleasantly) surprised at the age spread of the fans here! I haven't really done anything like FR since I quit Neopets in late middle school––it's fun to get back to an old format. It feels excitingly novel and semi-nostalgic at the same time. (The fantastic artwork doesn't hurt either.)
And wow, but FR fans have a lot of guinea pigs! I had two when I was young––the only pets I ever had that I could pick up and hold (we couldn't have cats or dogs). Alas, they passed away many years ago, but I still have a massive soft spot for cavies.
