I was coloring them but it got old so now critter names w/ images are just bold and black.

I will mess with formatting and put color variations side-by-side when I get more images up. Thanks Jcstitches for use of your awesome collection of familiar images!

Do you have images for the list? Please post the image address and critter name and I'll add it! I've made a few category calls, like putting the golden idol in with felines and the harpies in fantasy instead of avian. I hope that's ok with folks! Some images are sourced from Flight Rising, others from Tumblr.

Also the one you have up as longneck interloper is the magi. The interloper is the lighter one with the backpack.

Ok- still working on it but it's going faster. Any oppinions on the spoiler tags? I think they make life a little easier for people with slower connections or who don't want all the final art spoiled- should they go for each category, like I have them here, or should I try to put the tags up for each image- so the names are still visible?

The only mistakes I can see are few. The one you have marked Trick of the Light is an Umbra wolf and the Steam Gyre and Storm Seeker should be in the gallery. I'm checking now, so if they aren't then gosh darnnit they will be

Hm... hindsight indeed, but I think you should let that one go. Showing which cost gems are great, but the rest can be obtained in so many other ways that marking them definitively would be hard. The Marketplace cycles through most and the coliseum has others - but there's plenty of overlap between both places. There's also random luck with treasure chests, Pinkerton's Pile, and trading with Swipp.

It was less painful than it could have been. I'm not great at BBC code, so this forum's 'preview' mode made it much easier to arrange things. Also, I could sit around and stare at pretty creature art like this for hours anyway... and even now I'm still noticing little details.

And, of course, figuring out which ones I want...

Also, you have an Asian fantasy category, but the Baku isn't there. A Baku is a Japanese dream-eating spirit. The Tengu are also a famous Japanese creature, so I think they may fit more into the mythology category than avian, due to it's obvious references to the real Tengu. I think the cockatrice and firebirds are generic enough to fit in with avian more than European myth.
Griffins are European fantasy, but in that case I can see the point of giving them a separate category.

) and dropped the Furian into Avian. I'm leaving the Tengu in Avian because it's appearance is that of a crow (like the parasitic fungus is in reptile because it's form is a lizard). The unicorns now have a subheading under Deer-type, mostly because I'm betting there will be more of them in the future.
