Flight Rising Flock - Exclusive Custom Skin!!!

Hm. I think my suggestion, would be to have a base color, or general color scheme that can be edited. On this site, if you look it, we have three tones: The cold-colored right side, the neutral center, and the hot-colored left side.

As such, I think it'd be cool to have the skin come in three colors schemes. But leave out the elemental associations. So maybe, a red, a black-and-white, and a blue version. It may also satisfy people's personal tastes more, such as my love of blue. Red and monochrome colors are also relatively popular.

That's all I got off the top of my head. If I think of anything else, I'll add it in here~ I really do like this idea. And it'll be interesting to see what ideas the other members throw into the mix.

I like what Elis mentioned, about the triballike logos! I was also thinking about just an accent, rather than a skin! If there are people who don't like certain colours, there will always be people dissatisfied (or not as satisfied as could be) with the skin. With a logo as accent, you can keep the original colours of your dragon ..
Tho for me personally, I don't really have a preference for colours (if skins are going to be the way to go) Tho seeing how a lot of the site here is coloured brown, I think that that colour should definitly be featured somewhere in the skin! Other than that I will be happy with whatever you guys (with much more creativity and skills) come up with ^_^

But I like the idea of the accent as well. It's a telling mark, but it's a lot less limiting than a series of skins that you may or may not like, and gives people a chance to represent the flock without having to don a skin they don't necessarily like.

Eliskan brought up the runes carved into the scales. I like that idea, and I feel like it would be easier ti either represent the flights, or come up with one for the site that's unique. Maybe something similar to the Flight runes that exist already, but something unique?

So, firstly.
Accents defiantly seem like the way to go and with good reasoning.
As for time and effort on my behalf don't worry about that at all, I'm willing to go above and beyond to make something special for you guys!
If we can come up with something that fits all brilliant but I am able to do a series of colour adaptions/variations, I'm sure you have all seen my luster wing accents XD

After the design is decided upon I may then look into a full skin version for a higher status but for now let's look into the accent idea.


The elemental flight idea that incorporates each and every flight is something I had already thought about and really liked.
I considered making a element/flight logo that represented all elements into the one, taking aspects of each of the current symbols and developing something unique based on them. This then could be used at the representational symbol/logos for this group.
The letters FRF could also be incorporated into design if there was a blank space in the center of the design making it more of an emblem.
Alternatively it could be a part of a series of runes/pre existing flight symbols carved into the dragons scales and made into a band...
First we should tackle the design then think about its application though rounded ideas and also welcome.

Any thoughts on this 'all in one' symbol would be great guys.

The skin would simply be available for dragon status individuals. I might even make a very simple design based off our current one for anyone to have and then of course the skin for higher ranks.

Either way, were making some good progress!

If you did want to do a symbol that incorporates all the elements, there are a few ways to do that. The interesting thing about the elemental symbols is that they're all swirly and stylized. It might wind up being fairly complex, but what about a winding design in which the lines of one flight symbol blended into another? Instead of a circle, the two arms of the Arcane symbol might cradle the diamond that forms the top piece of the Ice symbol––just for example.

Alternatively, you could try a segmented design that looks kind of like the World Pillar. I'm not sure how that might look when transferred onto a dragon, though––maybe wind it down the body or up the legs?

I do agree about the glowing, though. Glowy things are awesome.

Well i tried my hand at an all incorperating design for the flight.
Its rough, real rough but gives you an idea of whats do-able.
